All the experts in nutrition denounce the use of sugar and slats in excess. Food containing a lot of sugar like chocolate, peppermint, chewing gums, jams, jellies, sweets, canned fruits and syrups are taken in excess.Hence tooth decay, diabetes , heart diseases, migraine and skin diseases occur.
The nutritionist have named sugar as the 'Poison' or White Poison.
Really speaking the human body does not need refined sugars for energy.The requisite sugar is available in sufficient quantities from fruits, cereals and pulses.
Sugar weakens the ability of white blood cells to destroy bacteria.
Sugar is called 'thief of calcium' hence the bones get brittle and teeth becomes weak.

Instead of sugar one can use jaggery as it does not undergo  much processing as sugar, jaggery has iron which helps in forming hemoglobin in the blood.
The harmful effects of sugar:
  1. Sugar increases acidity.
  2. Ulcers are formed in the stomach.
  3. Distort the blood composition.
  4. May develop heart disease and diabetes.
