IS LIFESTYLE DISORDER STEALING YOUR SMILE?

IS LIFESTYLE DISORDERS
STEALING YOUR SMILE?
(Non communicable Diseases , Disease of longevity, Disease of civilization,   Prosperity  Diseases, राज रोग )

Genes load the canon of life and
lifestyle pulls the trigger of life...
The Sankhya Sutra , one of the six system of Indian philosophy clearly states  that the ultimate objective of life is freedom from suffering.

“Happiness is synonyms with good health” . As double income families become the norm in most Indian metropolises, it is ultimately the women who are under pressure, with 68% of them reporting with a new category of illness better known as lifestyle diseases………

Life is a crazy ride and nothing is guaranteed for what is going to happen tomorrow. To ensure our own good health, one should understand to live in the context of their surroundings i.e. environment to fulfil the potential. Indian  lifestyle prevails on the principles of Karma (action) and Dharma (a righteous way to perform work) which brings in not only discipline , peace and harmony in the family and society but also emphasizes on individual's health. Hearing our grannies saying "don't go out on empty stomach, don't share your glasses, don't stand while drinking water", has a magical impact on health together with inculcating good manners.

Sitting on the floor is said to massage the abdominal muscles, boosts circulation in lower part of the body and increases flexibility. Eating with hand is said to signal the brain for secretion of digestive enzymes.  The change from traditional dietary habits coupled with a sedentary lifestyle and an inappropriate relationship of people with their environment thus, making man vulnerable to lifestyle diseases.
Today, communicable diseases have become manageable due to recent advancements in medicine. However, a new breed of diseases has developed, called ‘lifestyle diseases' such as heart diseases, some cancers and diabetes. These diseases have emerged as bigger killers then infectious or hereditary ones.
Wake up at 7 am with a cup of tea. Rush through the morning chores scanning the newspapers. Have breakfast - or skip it. Take a car to office to reach by 9.30 am. Plough through the piled-up work with several cups of tea/coffee. Have lunch in front of the computer; gulp it down with a cold drink. More work, more tea/coffee. Stay late at the office. Have a snack. Leave at 8 p.m. to reach home by 9 pm, watch television. Have dinner sitting in front of the TV set or go out to a party and have dinner at 11 pm. What a spread! Get home at midnight. Wake up at 7 am…..

“All lifestyle diseases have one common property
They make breathing heavier and body oxygen low,
Cell hypoxia is a driving force for lifestyle diseases”

Introduction
This vicious cycle repeats for many of us day in and day out. There is hardly any scope for sports, recreation, exercise or physical activity in this monotonous schedule. While the food is becoming richer, digestive juices are not given an opportunity to flow. Staying indoors, in air-conditioned comfort, we are not exposed to sunlight and fresh air. There is no contact with earth or sky or the stars. Something is going terribly wrong and the consequences are already visible in the rise of the lifestyle diseases.

It is always said: eat less, eat simple, and eat raw. Refined foods like salt, sugar and white flour are poisons. Processed foods too are bad for you. Stay close to nature. Do not suppress acute diseases with medicines. Do not suppress your natural urges. Cold, fever, vomiting and diarrhea are the body’s way of throwing out the accumulated toxins in the body, a result of undigested, unassimilated food.

Living a natural life is necessary for maintaining and enhancing resistance to disease-producing organisms and stamina of our body. People are becoming more and more dependent on chemical drugs. According to our ancient scriptures, (स्वास्थ्य) or Health is …...one who is contented with himself completely, wholly, physically, mentally, socially, has a healthy mind and body.

There are two areas of focus: one is supporting the body's own healing abilities, as the body possess the power to heal itself through its internal vitality and intelligence, and the other is empowering individuals to make lifestyle changes necessary for the best possible health.

Women in the age group of 20-50 are more prone to lifestyle diseases. Today women tend to give more importance to their careers rather than their own health. Work pressures lead them to eat more of junk food which leads to obesity and other health-related issues. Lack of time forces them to get less amount and poor quality of sleep. A busy lifestyle results in lack of exercise and poor nutrition resulting in nutritional deficiency, irritation and mental depression become a part of their lives which in turn badly affects the hormones that play a vital role in a woman's body. Hormonal disturbances are increased with stress and then results in anovulation and Polycystic Ovarian disease and infertility.

Vedic tradition believed that it is nature, which cures. It is said that all diseases are due to the accumulation of toxins and waste materials in the human body.  Thus, with the help of various methods to clear the human system from these toxins and accumulated wastes. When toxins accumulate in the body, the various organs of the body get exercised while clearing the toxins off the body. It is when this harmony of the internal body organ is disturbed then germs multiply and cause disease.

“Human body is equipped with a unique self- healing mechanism, which brings back the body to normal conditions of health, if proper natural methods are used to assist the system to function properly”

What are lifestyle diseases?
Lifestyle diseases characterize those diseases whose occurrence is primarily based on the daily habits of people and/or a result of the inappropriate relationship of people with their environment. The main factors contributing to lifestyle diseases include bad food habits, physical inactivity, wrong body posture, increased work pressure and disturbed biological clock.

Current trend of spending lot of time in front of computer, riding two wheeler amidst heavy traffic, exhibits symptoms such as  stiffening of neck, headache, fatigue , exhaustion etc.  the leading cause of chronic neck and back pain, Spondylosis, sciatica, slip disk due to jerks or wrong sitting postures. Heavy computer use could be linked to glaucoma , especially among those who are long sighted (hypermetropia) or short sightedness (myopia).  Radiation of mobile phone is reported for  low fertility, reduction in attention and memory, sleep disturbances, headache. ringing in the ears, hearing disturbances.

Erratic working hours and sedentary lifestyle is the witness for disturbed biological clock, the lead cause of increased infertility rates. polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), irregular menstrual cycle, early menopause, depress, ion, anxiety,, insomnia, indigestion, acidity, loss of appetite, headache, irritability, peptic ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), body pain and reduction in immunity.

"Suffering being a fundamental attribute of the human condition, system of medicine has to be holistic".

Laws Of Nature

The food we eat has to be digested and then thrown out of the body in 24 hours, else we will fall ill.
The water we drink, gets in our body and  is thrown out in 4 hours, else we will fall ill.
The air we breathe, has to be thrown out in few  minutes, else we will die.
What about negative emotions like hatred, anger, jealousy, insecurity... we hold in our body for days, months and years.
If these negative emotions are not thrown out regularly it props up into psycho - somatic diseases.
And meditation and prayers are safest way to dissolve these emotions.

"What ever exist in the universe exists in the individual who is a cosmic resonator".

Food

●   Organic Millet.
●   Polished rice
●   Wholegrain
●   Lack of fiber
   Active lifestyle

"Carbohydrates (CHO) is the main culprit"

Glucose , sucrose, fructose,  are type of carbohydrate. Glucose is needed  in cells for energy. Mitochondria is a powerhouse of cell. Fiber in the diet reduces glucose absorption in cell. Why diabetes occur? The main source of disease is food, pesticides, fertilizers. pounded wheat in form of flour, polished rice etc. Utensil in which food is prepared from bad to worse non stick pan - aluminium - steel - mud. The polymerized non stick material destroys the cilia of intestine, which helps in absorption of nutrients.

Glucose present in food is required for energy.

"One should eat food which releases glucose in the body slowly.(Lots of fiber)

Our body require energy for different activities. We inhale oxygen from the environment. Glucose along with oxygen produce energy. Mitochondria is a store house of energy in the cell present in the blood. This energy is stored in cell in form of Adenosine tri phosphate ATP.
when we need energy glucose has to enter each cell, with the help of oxygen prepare ATP in every cell. This process is decentralized produced in each and every cells.

In blood cells glucose makes the energy with the help of oxygen than it is distributed to all cells. Oxygen is taken from lungs to burn glucose in the cells then ATP is produced. Amount of ATP required is produced in the cell.

If you are working more glucose is burnt. But in sedentary lifestyle more glucose is produced. and if it is not required for ATP production it comes back to blood. So now there is excess of glucose in the blood. Therefore if you don't work more the amount of glucose increases in blood.

To digest 1 gram of glucose you have to walk for 15 minutes. We have five liter of blood in our body. Already we have enough glucose in our body.
Polished rice has 76% CHO and wheat  around 72%. When consumed after making flour the fiber content is 0%. Different forms of carbohydrates are: Glucose, sucrose, fructose, and types are polysaccaride and minosaccarides.

After digestion CHO from polysaccaride is converted into monosaccarides.
100 gm of rice produce 30 gm of glucose in the blood in 15-20 minutes. Pepsi, coke, thumbsup it has 100 ml water and 45 gm sugar. In one shot so much of glucose enters the body.. In one day 100-170 gm glucose enter the body.

For 1 gm  of glucose to burn you need to walk 15 minutes, for 5 gm of glucose 75 minutes walk. For 175 gm glucose 30 hours walk, but you only have 24 hours in a day. Do you walk 1-2 hours daily? Still you consume 10 - 15 gm of glucose. But all are techy,s now doing desk job and leading a sedentary lifestyle. Our life is govern by a press of button. No body is doing physical work, so nobody is able to burn glucose.

All of us are eating nicely SUGAR is the main culprit. We are putting excess of sugar in the body.

Our body is not able to utilize the excess sugar. This excess of sugar or glucose is acted by liver, spleen, gallbladder and endocrine glands. It is converted into Cholesterol. If it occurs in excess then the supervisor steroid convert it into Triglycerides.  All these are produced as they are essential for the body.

"Glucose is stored in the form of fat in the body."

If you keep sugar on the table it will soak lots of water after 2-3 hours. ( It is its property). As our body is made up of 72 % water. And cells also requires 72% water. If we have more sugar in our blood we feel thirsty (more water consumption). Now kidney has to work hard to filter out excess of water which results in excessive urination.

Increased Glucose will lead to diabetes.= Increased Glycogen (which is stored in liver) Increased Fat = Obesity = Increased Cholesterol (will lead to Hypertension)= Increased Triglycerides (extra fat is deposited in blood vessels block the vessels causing angina and heart attack.)= Increased Rhumatoid factor R H Factor (Rheumatoid Arthritis). Increased Glucose coats the haemoglobin with glucose and give rise to HBA1 Syndrome.

Original work of hemoglobin is to carry oxygen. But when coated with glucose, it is not able to carry the function of carrying oxygen therefore feeling of Tiredness. Normal HbA1C is 6 but it may increased to 12. It also causes low haemoglobin or Anemia.

Original So one should select the food you eat cautiously. Change of grain is a good option.

                                                           Organic Millets (Sridhanya)can be eaten.

"Food is the main factor for all disease, like Cancer, Migraine etc."
