Our food environment  makes the pH balance of our bodies more acidic then is good for us. To take care of this problem , we must eat foods that shifts the balance  towards the alkaline side.. These are called the alkalising foods.

Vegetable Juices


Vegetables are inherently alkalising, but green leafy vegetables like spinach, Sarson (mustard greens), kale, cucumber and lettuce  have high alkalising properties.  Drink a vegetable juice on an empty stomach every day.

Grass Juices
Wheat Grass
 
Wheat grass and barley grasses are excellent sources of minerals and unique enzymes. These are lost in the process of conversion to cereals. Radiation therapy patient  are given wheat grass juice to control the acids created by   these therapies. Barley grass controls the conditions of  severe acidity such as cancers and rheumatoid arthritis.
Alfalfa Sprouts

Alfalfa seeds go deeper into the soil than most plants, which means they draw more minerals and nutrients than others. This gives them great alkalising properties.  To sprout alfalfa seeds soak them for 24-48 hours. Add the sprouts to salads or  a vegetable juice mix.
Dried Fruits
Raisins, figs and dates will reduce acid.
Fruits
Apple, apricot, banana, coconut water,cherries, berries and orange all helps.
Lemons
We think that lemons are acidic, but after digestion, they are actually alkaline. Add a few drops of juice to a mix of honey and warm water.
